What you can get done with it.

A few examples from daily work. The assistant uses the same functions as the backoffice, just in a chat.

Catalogue: “Which products don’t have an English description yet?”; “Change the English name of item AB-3004 to ‘Fleece Jacket Forest Green’.”
Orders: “What was ordered yesterday, and what is still open?”; “Set order 2041 to shipped.”
Customers: “Which companies are still waiting for approval?”; “Show me all orders from Bergluft Reisen AG.”
Marketing: “Create a 10 percent coupon code, valid until Sunday.”
Store: “Redirect the old URL /jacken to the clothing category.”

You decide what the AI may do.

An AI assistant gets no free pass in NetSeller. It works with exactly the permissions you give it.

Switched off by default. The MCP server is only active once you switch it on.
Read only or also change. For catalogue, orders, customers, marketing and store settings, you decide separately whether data may only be read or also changed.
Its own key with clear permissions. Access runs through an API key that you can adjust or revoke at any time.
Only your stores. The assistant only sees the stores you assign to the key.
No direct database access. Every action runs through NetSeller and is checked like any other request.

How to connect your assistant.

Switch on MCPIn the backoffice, you activate the MCP server and choose which areas are available.
Create a keyYou create an API key with the right permissions and stores.
Connect the assistantIn the AI assistant, for example ChatGPT, you enter your store’s address and the key. Done.

The address is directly on your store domain:

The connection is fully tested with ChatGPT and in daily use at promo-store.ch. Other AI assistants and agents can also connect if they support MCP over Streamable HTTP.
